City Art Centre, a former warehouse, is a stunning nine-storey property that is instantly-recognisable in the Old Town. It hosts a great collection of art, featuring work from the 17th Century onwards.

With more than 4,500 pieces to peruse, spanning watercolours, paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture and installation art, there is no danger of disappointment. Free hosted art sessions are a big hit on Saturdays between 2pm and 3pm.
