You can say what you like about Liverpool but there is always something to do. This summer is destined to be action packed with fairground rides, culture, art, live performances and everything in between. The Pier Head Village has graced Liverpool\u2019s iconic waterfront since the 30th<\/sup> June and so far has proved a massive hit! Do not worry if you haven\u2019t made it down yet as it is here until the 10th of September!<\/p>\n

Here is our 5 reasons why Pier Head Village has everything you\u2019ll need this summer.<\/p>\n

The weather<\/strong><\/p>\n

The pier head is notorious for the weather. It\u2019s either the most gorgeous day you\u2019ve ever seen with the sun cracking the flags, or you end up looking like Side Show Bob with the wind carrying you across to Birkenhead. Well do not worry, there are a number of bars and food outlets that are covered and even heated.<\/p>\n

The Rides<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year three of Europe\u2019s tallest fairground rides are yours for the taking. The Around the World Sky Flier will see you swinging past the Liver Building 60 meters up! The Swinging Cruise is a classic pirate ship, which surely feels right at home on Liverpool\u2019s waterfront. For the more thrill seeking of you try the Mach 5 XXXL Booster. This ride throws you 60 meters into the sky at 100mph, definitely not one for the faint hearted!<\/p>\n

The food<\/strong><\/p>\n

Liverpool is famous for its traditional bowl of scouse, but at the Pier Head Village you can find so many more tasty treats. The like of Crosby Coffee, Sweets and Gifts Company and The Great British Cheese Company, Cowfish Smoke and The Beach Club and Restaurant will have your taste buds dancing.<\/p>\n

Artisan shops<\/strong><\/p>\n

More than 30 independent market-stalls are calling the Artisan Village at Pier Head Village their home this summer. Selling a range of items from scouse mementos, to sweets to clothing, you best take your purse as you won\u2019t be able to resists.<\/p>\n

The music<\/strong><\/p>\n

Liverpool Sound City have partnered up this year and as a result have the Sound City Bar & Garden. Here you can enjoy music all summer long, with DJ sets, open mic night and much more!<\/p>\n
